CELL-BASED ANTI-INFECTIVE ASSAYS
Bringing Life-Changing Anti-Infective Drugs to Market
With a demonstrated history of successfully bringing new life-changing anti-infective drugs to market, our experts will partner with you to design and execute testing programs that support your goals. Our team is skilled in a variety of cell-culture based assays for the assessment of antimicrobial compounds.
INTRACELLULAR KILLING ASSAYS
Intracellular killing of organisms internalized by a variety of host-cell types. This assay can assess the ability of a test agent to kill intracellular organisms. The following organisms have currently been evaluated:
- Neisseria gonorrhoeae (GC)
- Nontuberculous Mycobacteria (NTM)
- S. aureus
MTT TOX ASSAYS
Basic toxicology assessment of test agents by the MTT assay (ABS570, %Cytotoxic, or %Viability read-out) that have been evaluated in the following cell backgrounds:
- HepG2-Liver
- Hek293-Kidney
- A549-Lung
Chlamydia spp. MIC ASSAYS
We have in-house titrated stocks of C. trachomatis and C. pneumoniae for infection of McCoy and Hep2 cells, respectively. Chlamydia MIC values are determined by the concentration of test agent that leads to the elimination of inclusion bodies.
